About Precision’s Daily News Feed
Our mission
Precision’s Daily News Feed is an independent U.S. politics data and analysis hub. We combine original political data products with a curated, bias-labeled feed of headlines from wire services and balanced outlets across the political spectrum — giving readers a single, neutral vantage point on what’s happening in American politics, who’s saying what about it, and what the underlying numbers show. We link readers directly to original reporting and do not republish full articles.
Original data & analysis
Two sections of the site are original work produced by Precision’s Daily News Feed:
- Live political data dashboard — an original synthesis that brings together presidential approval ratings, key economic indicators, prediction-market odds for upcoming elections, and aggregated political sentiment in one continuously updated view. The selection of indicators, the way they are grouped, and the contextual framing are editorial choices made by Precision’s Daily News Feed.
- 2026 midterms hub — an original race-by-race tracker for the 2026 U.S. House, Senate, and gubernatorial elections, including our own race ratings (Safe, Likely, Lean, Tossup) informed by polling, fundamentals, and historical voting patterns.
How we choose stories
Headlines are sourced from the public RSS feeds of established news organizations including Reuters, the Associated Press, NPR, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, The Hill, Politico, Axios, RealClearPolitics, C-SPAN, and SCOTUSblog, alongside primary sources from the U.S. government. Source selection is an editorial decision based on track record, transparency of ownership, and adherence to professional reporting standards. We deliberately include outlets from across the political spectrum so that no single perspective dominates the feed.
Editorial methodology
Bias labeling: every source is assigned a bias rating (Left, Lean Left, Center, Lean Right, Right) based on independent media bias research from AllSides, Ad Fontes Media, and Media Bias/Fact Check. Where these organizations disagree, we use the median rating. Ratings are reviewed periodically and revised when warranted.
Categorization: headlines are routed into topical sections (Congress, White House, SCOTUS, Elections, State & Local, Policy, World) using an editorial rule set maintained by Precision’s Daily News Feed. The rules are reviewed and updated as the news cycle evolves.
Our neutrality standard
- We aggregate from outlets rated left-of-center, center, and right-of-center.
- We label every headline with the source name and that source’s bias rating.
- We do not edit headlines, summaries, or rankings to favor any party, candidate, or position.
- Our original data and analysis sections are presented without partisan framing.
